Nail Art Tips and Tricks!
- Not wear that gorgeous glitter polish as often as you might like due to it taking the jaws of life to remove? No worries. Here are 2 ways to make like a bit easier!
*Go to your kids school supplies and grab the white school glue. ( Elmers regular school glue, any brand is fine.) Paint a thin layer on top of the nails you want to paint with glitter. Allow to dry. Paint 1 more thin coat once the first is dry. Now when the glue is dry paint away! When you are ready to remove, just take something like an orange stick and lift up the polish near the cuticle. The glitter polish will peal right off! This also does not affect the wear of your polish. It just functions as a base coat! :)
- Can’t get the top off your go to nail color?
- Acrylic paint works GREAT for nail art. The best part, if you goof up you can just take a baby wipe and wipe away the mistake! Just remember to allow to fully dry before adding a MUST HAVE top coat.
- Have a favorite polish that you have had forever, only now its thick and gooy? Don’t throw it out, you can purchase a nail polish thinner and wal-la, like new. NEVER add remover to your polish, It will make it flake.
- Love that holographic/matte polish but can’t stand that it chips like a window from the 50‘s? Sandwhich time! No, don’t go break for lunch, Apply your polish, top coat and then your polish again! :) Chips be gone!
- Ever buy a color that in the bottle looks to die for and once you get it home and try it out its sheer and streaky? Try applying white polish first. Just like with a white eyeshadow base, it will make your colors more true to the gorg color you fell in love with on the shelf.
- Ever wonder how that mani in the photo has that FLAWLESS design? chances are (if the design is simple) they used tape and cut the design out and used as a stencil! You can also use the decorative edge scissors to create pretty designs. Remove the tape before the polish dries to a crisp clean edge.
